How does the Conga Chops website work?
CongaChops.com is a thriving community for percussionists of all levels. It features a massive amount of educational content as well as a Members-Only Community Forum. You have the freedom of studying all the material at your own pace, and you can visit the Community Forum for extra support, advice, or simply to meet fellow percussion lovers.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept almost any kind of credit and debit card- Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club. If you currently reside outside of the U.S., you should contact your bank to verify that your card is authorized to to make international purchases.
How do I upgrade or renew my Membership?
To upgrade or renew your current membership, please visit your click the "Your Account" tab/button from the main menu or from your Member Dashboard, and select the member plan of your choice.
How do I cancel my recurring Membership?
To cancel your recurring Membership, click the "Your Account" tab/button from the main menu or from your Member Dashboard, and select "cancel." You will contiunue to have access to the site until the end of your payment period.
What's included in the Courses?
Courses are specifically tailored to guide you through the understanding of specific topics related to your playing. Courses can include anywhere from 8-12 step by step videos each. You can find the audio tracks featured in each lesson in the Loops section of the website.
What's included in the Grooves?
The Grooves section is a collection of rhythms and patterns from all of over the world. Grooves are broken down into small segments, then put together and played with different variations and at different tempos. You can find audio play along tracks for each video, in the Loops section of the website as well.
What are Chops, and whats included in that section?
"Chops" is a musical slang term used to describe speed, agility, and fluidity on an instrument. The Chops section here on the website contains a collection of challenging phrases to help strengthen all aspects of your playing. You can find a variety of play-along tracks to practice them with in the Loops section of the website.
What's included in the Loops section of the site?
In the Loops section of the site you'll find some amazing play-along tracks in different genres and at different tempos featuring Axel Tosca on Piano, Oscar Stagnaro on Bass, Ramon Stagnaro on Guitars, Eric Doob on Drums, and Paulo Stagnaro on percussion. The loops are split up into two main sections, "Full Rhythym Section," and "Percussion-Only." You also have the option of listening to each loop with or without their respective conga parts.
How much experience do I need to get started?
None! All of the lessons on the site are taught from scratch, from a building block perspective. Conceptually they will be accessible by players of all skill levels. Of course, some exercises may be more challenging to execute than others at first, and will require some basic musical knowledge, so make sure you start with our Congas 101 Course if you are completely new to the instrument.
